Impossible Dialogue: is a participative art installation that focuses on the symptomatic polarized lack of civility that are affecting our interrelations in social media spaces. This installation resembles an apple store where the technological products will be replaced by clay phones, tablets and laptops whit relief inscriptions of texts and images.
The pieces establish an ironic palimpsest, between the ancient “Sumerian Disputes” the oldest word battles of which we have written record on cuneiform clay tablets and the numerous messages of hatred, intolerance and extremism in social networks nowadays.
There will be a work station where the participants model, inscribe and exchange their own clay tablets. This process of engraving the clay is slow and laborious forcing the participant to be more reflective about the content of the messages.
